Are the Tropical Breezes calling?

Here are some helpful hints for you before you go:

1.  Be sure before you leave your house that you have proper identification.  A passport is now required for travel to Mexico, Caribbean and Canada (as of 1/2007).  It is a good idea, however, to make sure you have an "original" copy of a birth certificate complete with the raised seal.  If you have any questions regarding identification, be sure to contact your travel advisor.

2.  Be sure to drink only BOTTLED water, especially while traveling in Mexico.  Water is important to keep hydrated while in warm weather and BOTTLED water is best most often for health purposes.  Your intestines will thank you.  Be advised, that you should also order drinks without ice and be cautious of eating food washed in local tap water (i.e. lettuce, fruit, produce etc.).  Most hotels and all-inclusive resorts have adequate filtration systems so your accommodations should be fine.  Again, I urge you to clarify this with your travel advisor.

3.  Take sunscreen, even if you tan easily.  Apply generously and often.  Be sure to use sunscreen on your ears and the top of your feet.  Nothing can ruin a vacation quicker than a painful sunburn.

4.  Remember when packing it is a good idea to pack a light jacket or sweater.  Even though you are going to a warm weather destination, it often can be quite chilly in the evening.  Better to have a jacket along and not need it, than to need a jacket and not have one.

5.  Most of all remember to RELAX....ENJOY....AND HAVE FUN!
